LOCAL MARKET OVERVIEW

Portland real estate market analysis and trends.

For more than eight consecutive years, home values have increased in Portland, along with demand and confidence. While the local market endured the same fate as the rest of the country in 2020, the rebound was swift, with positive signs of activity becoming more apparent in just a few short months. In particular, the Portland housing market is the beneficiary of continued buying and selling, particularly in suburban neighborhoods.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We have answers to some of your frequently asked questions.

Whether you’re feeling uneasy about taking the next step in the process or you’re eager to learn more, we would love to be your guide. Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Buyers often ask us…

How long does it take to find a house?

The search and tour phase of buying a home can be incredibly quick or nice and slow, depending on the buyer and their needs. We do our best to help get each and every one of our buyers into the home of their dreams, in the timeframe they need.

Should I get pre-approved for a loan first?

Our team highly recommends getting pre-approved for a loan before stepping into a house on the market. This ensures that when you find the home that you want to make an offer on, even in a fast-paced market, you’re able to be as competitive as possible. Waiting for pre-approval could mean missing out!

What is the process and timeline of an inspection?

Inspection periods differ in each transaction, although the standard time is 5-10 business days. During this time we’ll have one of our top-notch inspectors visit the home and then we’ll prepare for negotiations if needed. The standard timeframe from getting an offer accepted to moving in is 30 days, if there are no contingencies or rent backs applicable.

Sellers often ask us…

How long does it take to sell a house?

There is no set duration of time that it takes to sell a home, but our goal is to help each of our clients meet their specified and realistic time goals. We have experience working with backgrounds of all sorts and hope to help you sell your home on your own, personally tailored listing plan.

What should I do to get my home ready to sell?

Prepping a home for the market is customized per home and per seller’s situation. Each home has it’s strengths and weaknesses against the rest of the market and we are here to help you figure each of those things out to get the most out of your investment.

How much is my home worth?

The recommended listing price of a home is based on many variables and the best way for us to determine this is to meet you and get to know the house better. Call us today for a free one-on-one listing consultation.
