Home Sweet Home: Celebrating Beaverton's Newest Residents

Fellow Bridge to Portland Group member, Gen and I did not have your typical first meeting with this couple. We were set to meet Zach and O’neal at an open house but the home went pending as we were on the way there! So we decided to chat and have a get-to-know-you coffee instead.

We started touring right away and made some fun memories while we were at it, from some of the funkiest layouts anyone has ever seen to listing photos that differed so much from the in-person product and, unfortunately, rodents galore. We also found some wonderful possibilities that just weren’t quite right and then, we found the one!

Everyone knew from the moment we walked up the entryway stairs that this home was special. It had newer finishes and was totally move-in ready, not to mention a huge garage with extra storage space, a perfect hangout spot in the backyard that’s easy to maintain, and a double primary suite. This was it!

When you’re working with your dream team, it can be magic! Zach & O’neal’s lender, Olivia Paulson, pulled together quick pre-approval on the fly while Gen and I got to work writing up an offer, only having a few hours to get it submitted. We crafted a competitive offer with a short close for Zach and O’neal and then waited to hear back.

Drumroll please…we got it! Not only was our offer competitive in price and other terms, but it had what the other offers didn’t – a quick close, which was important to this seller.

We got through inspections and the appraisal process (an over-asking offer AND it appraised!), and moved forward to close. We even negotiated a sewer repair with a quick turnaround. (A BIG shoutout to one of our trusted sewer repair companies, Black Rock Underground for pulling out the stops for us and making it happen!)

Help me in welcoming home O’neal, Zach, and their two pups who even landed their own sleeping spot under the primary room windows! It’s always wonderful to give keys to buyers after the journey it takes to get there and Gen and I are honored to be part of their story to homeownership!
